AFRAM CORPORATION, a  respected engineering firm with offices in St. Louis, MO,  Chicago, IL, Memphis,  TN and Jackson, MS is seeking highly talented and motivated individuals in the following disciplines:  Civil, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical , Plumbing/FP, CADD Technicians/CADD Designers.

AFRAM specializes in construction management and engineering services, providing support on engineering projects worldwide. 

1.         CIVIL ENGINEERS – Experience in highway, roadway and street design to meet Department of Transportation (DOT) specification, storm water and site is required for this position.  A PE license in MO, IL, TN and/or MS is preferred.  E.I.T. will be considered, or ability to obtain the PE license within 9 months of employment.

            Education  – BS or MS in civil engineering from accredited university.

2.         STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS – Experience in performing numerical analysis using GT STRUDL & STAAD.PRO.   Experience in current practices, building codes and industry software is a must.  Ability to develop structural layout is required.  Candidate must be able to develop and design outfit structures from stairs and platforms.  Candidate must have a good working knowledge of AutoCAD in 2-D.  Familiarity with AutoCAD-3D is desirable, as is experience in V5 or similar parametric systems.  A PE License in MO, MS, IL and/or TN is preferred, or ability to obtain the PE license within 9 months of employment.   E.I.T. will be considered.

            Education – BS or MS in structural engineering from accredited university

3.         MECHANICAL ENGINEERS – Experience in HVAC load calculations, equipment selection, ductwork layout, hydronic design and DDC system design is needed.  Plumbing and fire protection design experience is desirable. A PE License in MO, MS, IL and/or TN is preferred, or ability to obtain the PE license within 9 months of employment.  E.I.T. will be considered.   

Education – BS/MS mechanical engineering from accredited university. 

Professional Experience – 5 years Experience in HVAC design, AutoCAD, Microstation (2007) and Load Analysis Program Experience

4.         ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS - Experience in electrical system design, production of construction documents and construction administration in the areas of lighting systems, electrical power distribution and building communication systems.  Other experience including emergency Power Generation, Fire Alarm Systems, Intercom Systems, Security Systems, Closed Circuit Television Systems and Control Systems is desired. A PE License in MO, MS, IL or TN is preferred, or ability to obtain the PE license within 9 months of employment.  E.I.T. will be considered.
           
Education – BS in electrical engineering from accredited university.  .

Professional Experience – 5 years experience in building, electrical systems design with AutoCAD & Microstation (2007) experience is desirable.

5.         CADD/DESIGNER -   Must have strong Civil and Structural experience.    Other experience required includes Catia, Microstation (2007), GEOPAK.  Experience working with DOT specifications is a plus.   3-5 years professional experience desired.

Education – Associate degree.

6.         CABLE INSTALLERS/CATV DISPATCHER
          We have openings for CATV Installers/Dispatcher.  Experience in ICOMS, ETA & MODEM PROVISIONING TOOLS, HSI, Phone, and Video is required.  Knowledge of Cisco and Linux is a plus, but not required.  Must have the ability to adapt, manage and supervise field technicians.

            Education – Associate Diploma from Technical School or BS degree in from accredited university is preferred.

            Professional Experience – 4-5 years experience with strong background in Cable Installation, leadership skill, excellent oral and written communication skills is needed for this position.  Must be proactive and a team player.
